Prayer and Operational Needs

Prayer Needs

These are some of the prayer requests from 625 women collected by Helen at the 2014 Women’s Conference held in Monrovia; they are the cries of Liberia’s hearts. In many ways the answers to those prayers are subject to the answers of our prayers – the filling of our needs for the work of the ministry which the Lord of the Harvest has placed upon Vision Impact Liberia.

Intercessory prayer is needed as often as possible for the protection of God upon Eric’s life as he is so instrumental in winning Liberians to Christ and subject to frequent spiritual attacks.

Please pray that the many new believers scattered throughout the villages will learn to seek God to grow in their knowledge of Him.

Please pray for God to supply a tough Toyota vehicle for the interior roads as we travel to villages.

Please pray about the safety of our office which experiences frequent attempted robberies. The latest robbery was assisted by a staff member who let four men steal our new generator and air conditioner. The staff member is in jail for 6 months but will not tell the police where the robbers took the generator or who they are.

Because only 30% of Liberians can read well enough to read a Bible the best method of teaching the gospel in Liberia is through the Jesus Film in their own dialect. Thousands have come to Jesus this way resulting in 40 church plants.

Operational Needs

We don’t know the whole mind of God; He just leads us in the short term. We in turn must spend much time before Him in prayer and in His word to give the Holy Spirit time to speak to us. We will proceed forward in faith to do our ministry and share the financial needs with everyone.

We still have the opportunity to build more churches in Muslim villages where a free well gleans an invitation to show the Jesus Film and often we are allowed to build a church.

The children orphaned by the Ebola outbreak need a home, food and schooling

We would like to move Omega Orphanage from the bush closer to Monrovia city, build a home for them, provide regular meals and also get them into regular school.

Our Jeep has been paid in full.
Thank You!! Please, pray for God to supply a tough Toyota pick-up truck to cope with the interior roads and to transport all the Jesus Film equipment together with Pastor Eric’s team.

We would like to provide 1 motorcycle to each of our ten village pastors for easier travel on rough roads and jungle terrain between villages. (See Newsletter 2014)

For a Bible School or an Orphanage?? Pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal His will and provide a sponsor to complete this building.
One projector still needed for the Jesus Film Outreach team.

Pastor Eric has received desperate requests for a well from 20 different villages. He personally goes to look for the spiritual and physical situation (as pictured) of each village before deciding where to put down the next well. A well usually allows us to show the Jesus Film where more than 50% of viewers genuinely come to Christ.
